@@organizations/companies, we invite participation in the following ESP
@@projects, announced at Saturday's meeting in Tokyo. Please give your
@@name to the contact person for whichever project you wish to join.
@@Volunteers do not have to do all of the work on these projects. Their
@@main task is to analyze needs, propose a plan, get feedback from the
@@rest of us, and then implement the plan with help from interested
@others.

@1. 2004 EST Seminar Organizing Committee

@@@Will organize a one-day EST seminar in Tokyo with presentations
@@@from both industry and academia to prompt discussion and
@@@information exchanges about current English language practices and
@@@needs in Japanese companies.

@2. 2005 National ESP Conference Organizing Committee

@@@Will organize a national ESP conference for 2005 for presenters in
@@@all fields from both academia and the workplace, and publish a
@@@conference proceedings of high quality.

@3. Professional Development Handbook Project Team

@@@Will design a book for publication on professional development to
@@@help newcomers to ESP improve their skills.

@4. Professional Archives Committee

@@@Will analyze the needs and desires of JACET ESP and propose changes
@@@or improvements in our organization's dissemination and archival of
@@@ESP information. This will include analysis of the the JACET ESP
@@@website, Annual Report, and any other print or electronic media to
@@@determine what should be initiated, continued, eliminated, or
@@@improved.
